Located 15 km north of Entebbe International Airport in Nakawuka, Uganda, Kasuku Children’s Centre (KCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through education, play, and community empowerment.
Founded in 2008, Kasuku was established to support children with special needs and those unable to attend school due to financial hardship.
Today, Kasuku stands as a beacon of hope for children, youth, and families — empowering them through education, sports, agriculture, and family support programs.
Our story began in 2007 with a dream to open a vocational school for youth dropouts.
However, after a three-week community needs assessment, the founders discovered a deeper challenge — many children in the area could not attend school because of financial barriers.
With the support of friends and well-wishers, the founders purchased 2.5 acres of land, where the centre now sits.
The first structure built was a pit latrine, and pioneer classes were taught under trees.
The very first chalkboard was made by painting joined wooden planks black — a powerful symbol of determination and resourcefulness.
Through community mobilization and faith, what started as a small dream became a thriving centre for education, care, and opportunity.
Kasuku Children’s Centre has grown into a Kindergarten–Grade 3 school with a network of community programs that serve children, youth, and families.
We collaborate closely with:
Our approach is integrated and sustainable — combining education, sports, agriculture, and family empowerment to help children and their families break the cycle of poverty and build brighter futures.
To empower children, youth, and their families by providing access to quality education, sports, and life skills — equipping them with the knowledge and support they need to build a just and sustainable society.
We achieve this through:
To shape the next generation of lifelong learners — children and families who are confident, compassionate, and capable of transforming their communities.
